Fall in IGC Changed by COVID-19

As the COVID-19 pandemic that broke out earlier this year has become prolonged, the landscape of IGC in autumn has also changed. The Campus, which used to be busy finishing the spring semester and starting the fall semester, held online commencement and admission ceremonies as part of the social distancing campaign. They began with the online freshmen orientation by UAC on August 20, followed by the online admission ceremony by SUNY Korea on August 21, and online commencement and admission ceremonies by GUCC on August 28. GMUK replaced its admission ceremony with a congratulatory video. The total number of undergraduates in IGC surged to 3,132 (enrollment rate: 70.3%) in this fall semester from 2,799 (enrollment rate: 64.9%) in the fall semester of last year.
